40 years and nobody has picked up those hitchers

9-9-09 was the 40th anniversary of the opening of my favorite ride in the world! Oh...the memories. I think my freakout over Halloween started with this ride.


TRW nights at Disneyland meant we went on this ride over and over. Got stuck on it while guy jumped off trying to get Madame Leota. Rode along with guy who helped design. Searched for hidden Mickeys...and I always hurriieedd baaacccck.

LJ's costume from 2007 ended up being in top 12 in Family Fun magazine contest....I won nothing but bragging rights.



Now speaking of anniversaries....I need a sitter for this weekend and an anniversary present idea.

I know it's not even mid September, but I've got Halloween fever already. I'm planning and building and I've already been to all the Halloween stores in the area...the ones open anyway. Lowes, Target, Big Lots, they all have put the clearance tags on the Summer stuff to make room. The girls and I have our costumes ready. Chris might not be here since the report day is on the 31st, but we are pressing on. Chuck is not a fan of dressing up, not that Hannah hasn't tried...repeatedly. Poopsie doesn't normally wear a costume, but she's just about bald on her tummy and will do anything to get a treat. So let the humiliation begin. There are some examples on www.Marthastewart.com
